ESPECTROTEST

The mobile arc/spark metal analyzer for uncompromisingly precise analysis

OVERVIEW:

  • No compromise: High-resolution optical system for probably the widest element range (even N, Li, Na), all elements required for a complete metal analysis on site are available
  • iCAL 2.0's unique single-sample standardization helps maintain consistent standardization regardless of most temperature changes, saving an average of 30 minutes per day.
  • Flexible point-and-shoot analysis with multiple quick-change sample probes, battery operation: up to 800 measurements on a single charge

The SPECTROTEST is a mobile electric arc spectrometer ideal for various applications in the metal production, processing, and recycling industries. This mobile metal analyzer excels with its superior performance, especially when precise metal analysis is required, when materials are difficult to identify, or when there are a large number of samples to be analyzed. The new iCAL 2.0 readout system and diagnostic software have been updated to allow users to perform a single-sample standardization (in less than 5 minutes) at the start of the daily test. iCAL diagnostics now helps maintain the same standardization, regardless of most temperature variations. The complex design of the electric arc spectrometer offers numerous ergonomic advantages for safe and fatigue-free on-site operation. The lightweight, slim probe quickly converts between arc excitation and spark excitation (arc spark OES). A probe with integrated UV optics is available for special measurement applications; It can also be used with arc excitation. This electric arc spectrometer can even identify low-alloy steels with carbon content during fast arc excitation mode. In spark mode, the SPECTROTEST's carbon, phosphorus, and sulfur analysis offers potential applications in addition to the identification of duplex steels using nitrogen content. The SPECTROTEST also offers the option of automated operation for large sample volumes. For this purpose, the instrument features an automation interface with a TCP-IP connection. With this approach, sample throughput can be significantly increased.
