Calibrations

Our equipment comes factory calibrated and certified. We offer calibration control services for external audits. As an accredited entity (manufacturer) to perform this task, we come in and verify the calibration status and issue a certificate on the analytical quality of your equipment.

Calibration

The Calibration Control service is designed to ensure and certify the accuracy and precision of your analytical system. Once in optimal condition, the equipment is inspected using certified standards, generating a report valid for auditors who fully validate the analytical results. Duration: minimum 1 day (extendable depending on the analytical program)

Technical service

Staffed by qualified personnel specifically trained in the analytical techniques offered. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as training new users.

They have the technical equipment, tools, consumables, and spare parts to resolve any situation quickly and effectively. E-Service: Our team of technicians rely on technology to remotely access equipment software and perform diagnostics, collect electronic or analytical data, provide training, update software, and more.

Even the equipment itself incorporates AMECARE M2M (Machine to Machine) capabilities, a unique and powerful service offered by SPECTRO to prevent instrument failure through continuous remote monitoring of warning and error messages generated by your instrument's critical components. Combined with AMECARE preventative maintenance, the risk of failure can be drastically reduced.

Installation

We install each of the equipment supplied.

Our Service Technicians install each piece of equipment supplied. The initial installation is crucial to confirm that the minimum installation requirements (electricity, gas, sample preparation, etc.) are met, ensuring the analyzer achieves the expected performance. We meticulously and precisely follow detailed protocols, which are recorded and validate the machine for warranty, daily use, audits, etc.

Training

We train and educate your staff on the proper use of the equipment you have purchased. We also offer refresher courses. Properly trained staff can take advantage of all the capabilities our equipment offers.

We offer training courses during the installation of new equipment. We also offer training courses for new users, as well as refresher and refresher courses to ensure our equipment always performs at its best.

We also organize user training courses at our headquarters several times a year. In small groups, you learn the theory, learn how to operate the equipment in depth, and discuss analytical problems and solutions. In many cases, the training courses are held directly at your facilities using your own equipment.

We invite you to learn about our team's training schedule and participate in our e-training module.

E-training

This e-learning platform is a useful tool that will allow you to learn the basics of the technique and the equipment in question. A quick and easy registration will give you access to SPECTRO CAMPUS, where you can track your progress, pause your training, and even obtain a diploma certifying your knowledge.

The available modules are:

  • Fundamentals of emission spectrometry.
  • SPECTRO iSORT
  • SPECTROTEST
  • SPECTROMAXx
  • SPECTROLAB
  • SPECTRO iCAL

Maintenance

To preserve the long-term value of your equipment and ensure optimal results, the best insurance is regularly scheduled maintenance. Many quality control programs require scheduled maintenance and equipment inspections.

We can assist you with a tailored service and support contract that meets your specific needs. This guarantees:

  • Meeting all quality requirements on time and at fixed costs
  • Reliable and Accurate Analysis
  • Maximum equipment availability

Retrofits

There are many reasons why modifications or upgrades to your equipment may take place:

  • To extend calibration ranges
  • To analyze new elements
  • To equip your equipment with the latest technology
  •

We'll help you plan all the necessary steps. Working with you, we prepare a practical proposal and ensure the work is completed quickly and effectively.

We'll inform you about important new developments regarding your equipment, along with an offer for an upgrade kit. In many cases, we can also send you software updates automatically or download them online.

All of this is aimed at ensuring your satisfaction with our products, ensuring they are up-to-date and maintained over time.

Patterns

The use of appropriate reference material is critical to the effectiveness of your quality control program.

With the increasing implementation of quality control and laboratory accreditation programs, increasing emphasis is being placed on the use of CRM standards whenever available.

It is important to ensure that the type of reference material meets your needs and that its properties are as close as possible to routine samples.

They must have a similar structure and be prepared in the same way. Calibration must be based on these compatible matrix materials, following the analyzer manufacturer's calibration procedures.

Analytical results carry some uncertainty due to systematic or random errors, but the measured value obtained from a CRM or RM should be within acceptable tolerances for the method used.

Definitions:

  • CERTIFIED REFERENCE MATERIAL (CRM): “A reference material characterized by a valid metrological procedure for one or more specified properties, accompanied by a certificate indicating the value of the specified property, which is associated with an uncertainty, and an indication of its metrological traceability.”
  • REFERENCE MATERIAL (RM): Material, sufficiently homogeneous and stable with respect to one or more specified properties, that has been established to fit for use in a measurement process.
  • ADJUSTMENT SAMPLES (SUS): Materials with minimal inhomogeneity intended for use in monitoring and adjusting the analytical signal of instrumentation. These materials have values assigned during calibration with CRMs or RMs, and are supplied as guide values rather than certified values. Such standards are referred to as "recalibration samples," "drift control samples," or "monitor samples."

We have all kinds of patterns for both metallic materials (aluminium, steel, castings, copper, titanium, ...) and non-metallic materials (fuels, oils, soils, waters, polymers, coal, coke, biological samples, ...) and for the techniques of OES-Spark / Arc, Rotrode, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS, IC, FRX, combustion, Electron Microanalysis, XRD, Granulometry, Microscopy, Viscosity, ...).

Our support team will help you find the product that best suits your needs, applying it to standards such as ISO, EN, ASTM, JIS, and DIN where available.

2nd Start-up

We commission spectrometers that may have been idle or out of use for various reasons. We verify their functionality and proceed with their installation, training new users.

Transfer

Changing needs in companies often require relocating existing equipment to new production plants or to new customers in the event of equipment sale.

We handle the professional, fast, and safe transfer of your equipment to a new location. We can arrange:

  • Checking the dimensions of corridors and access areas during movement within the sites
  • Disassembly of peripherals and safe shutdown
  • The right packaging
  • Supply of flightboxes for frequent equipment transfers
  • Safe movement without shocks or bumps
  • Accompanying the merchandise during the transfer
  • Loading/unloading supervision

End of useful life

Once your analyzer has reached the end of its useful life, we can manage its withdrawal in accordance with the provisions of the European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, of July 4, 2012, on waste electrical and electronic equipment, updated in RD 110/2015 of February 20 on WEEE, is applicable in Spain.

When purchasing new SPECTRO equipment, the WEEE recycling fee is already included. This way, your equipment can be treated by an Authorized Waste Manager in Spain.

We contribute to environmental protection and ensure the return of materials to the production cycle.
